Vincene is the first woman who patented the main ingredient in skin care. No longer water, but infused mineral spring waters with sea plants, flowers, teas, fruits and herbs to enhance the skin’s wellness despite challenges to the skin caused by medications. Her goal is to provide those using our products the gift of giving their skin tender loving care.
BSAB
BSAB (Biogenic Seaweed Antioxidant Broth)- IS the Sea Activetm Skin Care difference.
Our products are not made with purified water as the main ingredient. Instead, our products are made with Spring water from Hawaii, infused with seaweeds of Nori, Wakame, Bladderwrack, Irish Moss, Pacific and Atlantic Kelp, Sea Lettuce, Sea Lavender, Alaskan Bull Kelp, Red and Brown Algae, Red Fijian and Polynesian Limo, Dulse, Turbinaria ornate, Laminaria digitate, and Haematococcus pivalis (astaxanthin). This “infusion” also includes white tea, herbs, flowers and fruit extracts that hydrate and nourish the skin. Outside independent research of our unique Seaweed blend shows seaweeds in our infusion can kill human tumor cells by prompting programmed cell death (apoptosis). Nutrients from seaweed can pass through the skin’s barrier (stratum corneum) because its’ elements (Sodium, calcium, magnesium) are of biologic origin, so these elements are more readily assimilated by our system and skin.
Note: Red seaweeds are found deeper in the ocean and it is noted that these seaweeds contain more advanced forms of nutrients that are best for attacking defective DNA. Sea Active™ Skin Care is the FIRST skin care line that features the rare ™BioAlgin Hyaluronate ™Complex, developed by Vincene Parrinello. This is a unique, proprietary blend of phytoHyaluronic Acid from plants found in the sea and cassia angustifolia, that, attached to our proprietary seaweed complex can replenish DNA compromised skin cells and promote intracellular communication. Our new MCR™ (marine carotenoid retinol™) Complex, made from Astaxanthin, is a better tolerated and performing form of retinol. Our Hero Ingredients Tell Their Story of How They Rescue and Replenish The Skintm
Wakame, a winged kelp seaweed, contains 40% fucoidan. This seaweed has been researched in Japan, and is praised for its ability to inhibit tumors, improve skin tone, enhance youthful appearance of the skin and is effective for treatment of dry skin.
Kombu is another brown, winged seaweed that is high in fucoidan. This seaweed contains germanium, an important trace mineral and skin-healing nutrient, used for hundreds of years by Asian women to keep their skin looking youthful and combat pigmentation challenges.
Bull Kelp – only found on the North American Coasts (Alaska, Washington and Oregon- our choices) Excellent skin moisturizing benefits that are oil free, benefitting dry, combination and oily skin types.
Bull Kelp Bioferment is rich in anti-oxidants known for aiding skin cell well-being.
These anti-oxidants are Vitamins, A,C,D,E and capillary supportive Vitamin K.
This seaweed also has excellent firming and toning effects on the skin, revitalizing skin’s appearance.
Undaria Pinnatifida Seaweed is a brown algae, rich in phytosterols and fatty acids — an oily extract that preserves skin’s youthful appearance and fights signs of aging Beneficial to all skin types, even oily skin.
The Wrack Seaweeds
Knotted Bladderwrack – Ascophyllum Nodosum, has anti-tumor agent properties.
Fucus Vesiculousus (Bladderwrack) – is high in Fucoidan, Mannitol, Lysine, Phytohormones, Zinc, Bromine, Antioxidants Vitamin A, C, E, and K. This seaweed promotes healing of sprains and bruises, prevents cancer, reduces cellulite. It has incredible skin toning properties, offers moisturizing benefits, and firming effects on skin of all ages.
In California another name of for this seaweed is Popping Wrack. This seaweed washes up on our beaches, inviting kids and grown-ups alike to jump on the “bladders of the seaweed” causing a popping sound.
Kombu- Sugarwrack (L.saccharina) and Finger wrack (L-digitita) – from Atlantic and Japanese Coasts (Lamonaria japonica). Laminaria, Latin for “thin leaf”, is olive brown in color. It is high in Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, Protein, Laminarin, Fucoidan, Alginate, Vitamins A, C, D, E, and K, along with hosting a complex of B Vitamins. This is powerful anti-aging skin care ingredient that promotes wound healing via stimulation of collagen production neutralizing free radicals, stimulating the immune system (when taken internally). Through transepidermal delivery, we can address the immunity cells in the skin. It also protects the skin and stimulates skin circulation.
Other seaweeds, to be undisclosed for proprietary and trade secret reasons are resourced from the California coastline, Atlantic coast, European and French Polynesian waters.
The Green Seaweeds
The largest classification of all ocean plants
Sea Lettuce is high in protein, calcium, silica, Vitamins A, B and C. This cell regenerating seaweed helps tone the skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production, and offers hydrating properties. Sea Lettuce increases circulation by dilating tiny capillaries in the skin’s surface, transporting nutrients and oxygen from deep within the skin’s surface layer. Also increases the appearance of skin brightness and vitality.
The Red Seaweeds
Over 6,000 of these red seaweeds have been identified as of the date of this writing. Rhodiphyta algae is the classification category.
Some of the red seaweeds accomplish their ability to help the body or skin release toxins due this seaweed’s colloidal mineral content.
Nori-Porphyra umbilicalis – has the appearance of a waving palm in the water. This seaweed is rich in Amino Acids (cell building blocks), Fucoidan, Zinc, Polysaccharides
Selenium and Zinc- a natural UVA/UVB- screening compound
Selenium helps to improve the skin’s elasticity, fight acne and along with the Zinc prevents free radical damage to collagen and elastin, thereby reducing the effects of an aging appearance.
Alguronic Acid from the algae extract is a portion of our Trade Secret Aliginiacin Complex, that is shown to increase cell regeneration and the synthesis of elastin (this gives the skin its elasticity associated with youthful skin).
Porcheria hornaminyahae – contains a natural cytoxin chemical that kills cancer cells
Irish Moss – from the Scotland and Ireland coasts is also known as Carrageenan, Sea Moss, or Pearl Moss. This seaweed has been used for generations to treat eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and decreases acne scarring while promoting healing of skin rashes from unknown origins. This seaweed has extraordinary anti-aging effects on skin cells. Firms and moisturizes the skin.
Dulse – also known as Palmaria Palmate, is very high in Vitamin K, which is supportive of capillary function and circulation. This seaweed has been shown to permeate the epidermal layer (which has no blood vessels) to the blood vessels located in the basal junction layer.

Pacific Northwest Kelp – is the richest kelp flora in the WORLD. Not only inhibits cancer-cell clustering, but offers the skin great benefits as well. A large reason it’s one of the main ingredients in our BSAB broth found in our products. Benefits to the Skin are:
Vitamin A- maintains collagen levels by promoting cell regeneration (nature’s form of retinol)
Vitamin B1- neutralizes free-radical damage and reduces cellular inflammation in the skin
Vitamin B2- helps to regulate mucus secretion, maintaining the skin’s microbiome (necessary for treating blemishes and skin congestion)

AGAR – from various onshore seaweeds off the Atlantic Coast, Pacific Northwest, Southwest and South Pacific coasts gives our cleansers and gel products the gelatinous texture. This ingredient also helps the skin retain moisture levels in the vulnerable epidermal layer that prevents premature moisture loss and topical dehydration. These can be the greatest contributing factors to cell damage and death, caused by injury, pollutants, airborn chemicals or UV radiation.
Dubosia Leaf Etxract – inhibits elastase, stimulates collagen synthesis. It is also an excellent microbial anti-inflammatory ingredient for use in skin care products.
