What, exactly, are plant stem cells?
Stem cells are a special type of cell in an organism that can develop into many different types of cells. They are undifferentiated cells that have not yet chosen a path. Plant stem cells live in the meristems of plants to help regenerate live plants after injury. They have the ability to self renew and self repair, just like human stem cells, but with stronger antioxidant properties than human cells.
